
Japan likes shooters too; Ghost Recon Wildlands tops sales charts
Well OK, it only had to beat out the 900 billionth Kingdom Hearts re-release, but selling nearly 90,000 copies to top the Japanese sales charts in its opening week is impressive enough. I wonder if would've sold as as well if Japanese customers had been forced to watch that painful E3 demo with cringe-inducing player acting. Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Horizon: Zero Dawn, 1-2-Switch, and NieR: Automata continue to have strong showings, rounding out the top six.
The Nintendo Switch had a slightly larger drop from first to second week than both the Wii and Wii U, but 60,000+ isn't too shabby. Read more…
