Rumor: Destiny 2 Out In September According To Retail Poster
Last month, during an earnings call, Activision announced that Destiny 2 was due sometime this fall. An apparent leak online of an Italian promo poster may have just outed a more specific release date for the game – September 8. Another tidbit from the Italian GameStop promo poster is that a beta is scheduled for sometime this summer. [Full Disclosure: Game Informer is owned by GameStop] Eurogamer reports that the PS4 gets beta access before other platforms and that the beta happens in June.
We have contacted Activision about this rumor, and will update this story if we hear back. The game's possible release date isn't the only thing we know about the game, which will let players carry their characters over, although gear and power stay behind. [Source: leganetwork. it via NeoGAF and Eurogamer] Our TakeFor what it's worth, the last Destiny came out on September 2 simultaneously worldwide in 2014.
