What could her role be? The Last of Us Part 2 will feature Westworld actress Shannon Woodward, she announced today on Twitter. Woodward tweeted a photo with Neil Druckmann, creative director at The Last of Us Part 2 developer Naughty Dog, earlier today. She is wearing a motion capture suit in the photo; Naughty Dog is renowned for its use of performance capture in games like The Last of Us and the Uncharted series. I am embarrassingly over-excited here because I'm peaking.

Woodward, who describes herself in her Twitter profile as a “legitimate geek,” said in the tweet that she is “embarrassingly over-excited” to be appearing in The Last of Us Part 2.

Neither Druckmann nor Woodward provided any information on the role she’s playing in The Last of Us Part 2. Druckmann simply retweeted the photo with the joke “doesn’t look like anything to me,” a reference to a pivotal moment in the first season of Westworld. We’ve asked Naughty Dog and Sony for details, and will update this article with any information we receive. The news makes Woodward the third confirmed cast member for The Last of Us Part 2. Ashley Johnson and Troy Baker will reprise their roles as Ellie and Joel, respectively, years after the events of the original game.

The Last of Us Part 2 is in development exclusively on PlayStation 4; it does not yet have a release window.
